Go Nuts for Some Fall Doughnuts!!

To go along with my fall themed card from last night, I wanted to introduce you to a new fall recipe that will have you headed for the cabinet to pull out your trusty doughnut pan and some very autumn-y ingredients. Can you guess what the not-so-secret ingredient is to these delicious and healthy baked doughnuts? Pumpkin of course. What ingredient represents fall better?*

Baked Cinnamon Pumpkin Doughnuts
*The answer is none!
Baked Cinnamon Pumpkin Doughnuts
Makes 8
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup oat flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup maple syrup
¾ cup pumpkin puree (from a can)
½ cup milk
1 egg
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and oil a doughnut pan. Mix together the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Add the pumpkin and maple syrup. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Spoon the dough into the pan. Bake for 12- 14 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the doughnuts to sit in the pan for 5 minutes before removing.
