Homemade Cereal!

It has been awhile since I posted a homemade cereal recipe. I had forgotten how much I loved making my own variations on popular cereals. You just cannot beat a fresh, homemade bowl of cereal. Sorry, but Kellogg's and General Mill's just can't measure up.

Today's maple cinnamon cereal is great plain or floating in a bowl of milk. You can shape these gems any way you want, but I chose triangles and squares for fun.

Maple Cinnamon Cereal
serves 2
1 cup rolled oats, blended into a flour
¼ cup flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp melted coconut oil
2-3 tbsp water or milk

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and line a large baking pan with baking parchment paper. Mix together the dry ingredients. Add in the maple syrup, egg, oil, and enough water to make a ball of dough. Roll it out ¼” thick and cut it into squares, triangles, or whatever shape you want. Spread the sheets out onto the parchment lined baking pan and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until crisp.
