That Silly Elf!

As you can tell, Kringle got into some of Harper's candy the other day. I thought he was supposed to be here to keep an eye out for Santa to make sure everyone is behaving. It seems like this little elf has a mind of his own.... Maybe with this healthy recipe for crunchy quinoa granola Kringle will get his act together. Or at least we can hope that he develops some healthier breakfast habits.

Quinoa Granola
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup honey, melted
1/4 cup uncooked quinoa
2 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
 
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Mix all the ingredients up well. Spread out on an oiled baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring the mixture about every 15 minutes to ensure that it does not burn. Allow the granola to cool before stirring in chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts, or whatever you want to add in it.
