Brownies for Breakfast

Brownies for breakfast? Can you just imagine your mother cringing? Never fear, these breakfast "brownie" recipes will give you that satisfying brownie taste while still qualifying as a healthy and redeeming breakfast.

Your tongue will be sent to brownie heaven with this oatmeal recipe. The secret to the fluffy texture is two egg whites. The rest of the ingredients come together to make it completely decadent.

Brownie Batter Oatmeal Pudding (2)
Brownie Batter Oatmeal Pudding
1/3 cup oatmeal
½ cup milk
½ cup water
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
2 egg whites
¼ tsp vanilla extract

Whisk together the oatmeal, water, milk, cocoa powder, and sugar in a pot. Cover and bring it all to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce the heat to low and allow it to cook for another 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid and stir in the egg whites and vanilla extract. Continue to stir constantly for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and serve.

Was the brownie batter oatmeal not enough for you? Do you want to now drink your brownie batter? This smoothie is the perfect match for you. Walnuts, sea salt, and cocoa powder come together to make a brownie in liquid form. Yumo!

Those awesome brownie recipes are fit for a queen, and so is this cute fold out card. Any little princess would love to get this as her birthday card. The little girl I gave it to liked it just about as much as her present. She tried to recreate it as a thank you card, and the result was adorable. (Especially since she is only seven.)
The inside folds out to reveal a complete castle, along with an area to write birthday wishes. I learned how to make the card here. There is an awesome tutorial that you can follow to make one of your own.
