A Holiday Prequel

This is the front of the Strasbourg Notre Dame Cathedral. It was so large that I could not even attempt to take a picture of the whole thing. I cannot imagine how magical it must be around Christmas when the whole of Strasbourg is all decked out for its annual Christmas market. The Christkindelsmarik had been held in Strasbourg since 1570, and attracts over 2 million people a year. Sadly, we travelled to Strasbourg during the wrong season to see a Christmas market, or anything Christmas related for that matter.

Then we found this little store hidden down a cute street in Petite France.

Inside we walked into a winter wonderland. Everything from the walls to the floors was set up to represent the Christmas season.

It was just so cute! I love Christmas. Good thing that it is now July. Christmas is almost here. Christmas in July, of course.
Here is a polymer clay snowman ornament. It is not quite as cute as the ones in Strasbourg, but I think it will suffice as a nice addition to someone's tree this Christmas.
Lastly, these pancakes bring out the Christmas spirit with their green color and decadent taste. It is all the indulgence of the holiday season without any need to heat up the stove.
