Fruity Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a go-to breakfast that is quick and delicious. I have posted about it many times before. I basically have a whole page dedicated to it. A lot of people don't like oatmeal. They think it's thick, bland, and gross. I am a firm believer that these oatmeal haters just have not tried a good bowl of the stuff. All they need is one taste of well prepared oatmeal, and they will turn into an oatmeal junkie like me. I will get you hooked.
Chocolate Raspberry Stovetop Oatmeal
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 cup water
2/3 cup frozen raspberries
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp chocolate chips
sugar, to taste
 
Bring the water and raspberries to a boil in a pot over high heat. Stir in the oatmeal and cocoa powder. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook until the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Once the oats are at your desired consistency, remove them from the heat. Stir in the chocolate chips and sugar to taste.
 
Here is a birthday card using a scalloped punch and a happy birthday stamp. The angle I took the picture at made the scalloped shape pop out, but it is really closer to the color of the ladybugs.
 
The following recipe is for pineapple overnight oats. I made mine with a very thin consistency, but adding more oats will thicken it up.
 
 
Overnight Pineapple Oats
serves 1-2
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 cup cubed pineapple
1/2 to 1 cup of oatmeal
 
Blend the milk, pineapple, and yogurt until creamy. Stir in the oatmeal. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next morning enjoy an on-the-go treat.
