Green Oatmeal!

I know these past couple of recipes have been quite controversial. I mean, who has ever heard of banana pasta or green oatmeal? I just thought that the color was appropriate for the upcoming Saint Patrick's Day. Actually, I have planned every recipe this wee to be a green color to celebrate the event.

Did you know that the Saint Patrick's Day color used to be blue? It was the use of shamrocks for adornment back in the 1600s that made the popularity of the green color grow. Who knew? Three leaf clovers became the symbol of Saint Patrick when he used them to explain the Trinity to the Irish. I'll post more on the amazing devotion of Saint Patrick later. He really was a cool guy.

For the card, I actually used heart cut outs to make the clovers. It was so much easier than trying to hand draw them, and I like the way they turned out.
